    • This position is directly responsible for managing all operations, developing business and increasing profitability within US branch, and taking responsibility for profit, sales, quantity, and quality targets. 

      ➢  Lead and develop the US Purchasing and Logistics teams capable of delivering the business objectives and implementing the recovered fiber strategy

    • ➢  Develop new purchasing opportunities/logistics services, and critically analyze current activities, comply with established procedures, and propose process improvements where necessary.

    • ➢  Work with purchasing department head and SRM department to develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships.

    • ➢  Support purchasing department to negotiate contractual terms regarding cost, payment term, quality, transportation, and other standard or special contract terms with suppliers in support of company’s strategic goals and requirements.

    • ➢  Work with logistics department head to manage vendors, including Ocean Freight companies, Forwarding companies, and the ports.

    • ➢  Timely solve any unpredictable issues, negotiate on non-routine charges with carriers including but not limited to USA Per-diem Charges, USA Demurrage Charges, Rolled Fees etc.

    • ➢  Financial modeling to support operational platforms and tendering

    • ➢  Develop strategies to improve sales & profits and plan the prospects of the company

    • ➢  Undertake service provider evaluation (ensuring environmental, financial, operational, and contractual compliance), and ensure to meet high standards of operational efficiency

    • ➢  Create a positive and motivating atmosphere within the company and provide growth

      opportunities for the employees.

    • ➢ Encourage innovative ideas and implement them for the company’s best interests.

               ➢ Provide competitor insight and analysis
               ➢ Forecast price and market trends to identify changes within the buyer-supplier dynamic

    MUST HAVES:  (No exceptions) 

    ➢  Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, international trade, or related field, MBA preferred.

  • ➢  10 + years general management, purchasing management or logistics management experience, financial qualification or training is a plus.

  •   Strong knowledge of paper / recycle fiber industry, import/export, supply chain management, experience working with steamship lines is a plus.

  • ➢  Exceptional organizational, planning, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation skills

  • ➢  Familiar with industry’s rules and regulations

  • ➢  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels, both written and verbal
